Dr Maarouf is both exceptionally easy to talk to and professional. I have seen him on many occasions now and he has always been very kind. My partner is terrified of needles and Dr Maarouf was incredibly patient and reassuring to him whilst he had his flu jab and helped to keep him calm throughout the process. I would highly recommend him as you will always feel as though your concerns are heard. I saw Dr Maarouf at Edgbaston private medical practice.

I have seen Dr Maarouf on numerous occasions over the past 12 months due to a decline in my health. He is a friendly and caring Doctor who takes the time to listen your health problems. He demonstrates a genuine interest in your health and is keen to treat you. He is very thorough in his consultations and is very knowledgeable. He explains things thoroughly and has an excellent bed side manner. I always book with Dr Maarouf if possible and would highly recommend other people to see him. A fantastic Dr who provides high quality care!

Fantastic doctor, I have only seen him a few times and yet he proved to be one of the most welcoming and friendly doctors I have ever met. He was very reassuring and understanding. I would definitely recommend him and will make sure I book in with him in the future if I need to.

A wonderful, friendly, patient and concerned doctor. Honestly, he is the only doctor I have ever visited that I trust is doing the best job he can for myself and my family, regardless of any other factors. He knows us by name, he expresses genuine care for us, he takes time to understand our situations and he goes out of his way to provide the highest level of care. We all feel as comfortable talking to him about various problems as we would do our friends. I would never wish to see another doctor at that practice if possible. By far the best doctor I have ever had. BRILLIANT DOCTOR!

First time seeing Dr Marouf and I can say with confidence that he very good doctor, his approach to you as a patient is more than welcoming, gave clear and sound reasoning behind his conclusion and shows understanding from a patient's point of you. You can tell he enjoys what he does and is very knowledgeable. Something that's been bugging me for a while now, going back and forth to the GP, and he told me exactly what I needed to know and advised to research up on it. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely visit Dr Marouf again.

Profile

I trained at Birmingham University and qualified as a doctor in 2006. After completing my foundation training in various hospital specialities, I undertook further training in general practice within the Black Country area and successfully gained membership to the Royal College of General Practitioners as well as the Royal College of Physicians.

After a few years as a portfolio GP (working in diabetes and more recently a hospital practitioner in endocrine medicine), I decided to further sub-specialise and am currently a specialist registrar in Chemical Pathology/Metabolic Medicine under Health Education West Midlands.

I still work as a GP in order to maintain my skills and competencies and like to think I am pretty adept at addressing patient concerns and expectations from the outset. This is hopefully reflected in my patient feedback but all experiences (whether good or bad!) are welcome.
